Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the software, websites, and APIs operated by Square One Studio, LLC ("Square One", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service description

Square One provides multi-tenant software for managing custom millwork shop operations, including but not limited to project management, quoting, submittals, change orders, file storage, billing, and analytics. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.

2. Accounts and authority

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind your company to these Terms. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including the actions of users you invite.

3. Billing

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refunds are issued for partial periods, except as required by law.

4. Customer data

You retain ownership of all data you upload or generate within the Service. We process customer data only to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. On termination, we will provide a CSV export of your data upon request and delete it from our systems within 30 days.

5. Acceptable use

You will not use the Service to (a) violate any law; (b) infringe any third-party right; (c) transmit malware or attempt to circumvent security; (d) reverse-engineer the hosted Service (the open-core code is available under its own license at github.com/squareonestudio/millwork-mcp); or (e) resell access without our written consent.

6. Service availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the Shop tier and 99.9% for the Pro tier. Scheduled maintenance is excluded. If we miss the target in any given month, you may request service credits on your next invoice. The Starter tier is provided on a best-effort basis without an SLA.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

Our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event are we liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri.
